Contrary to what my friends think, I don't get to go out and shoot nearly as much as I use to.. So when I have the time to get out and shoot, I try to take advantage.
So when I went out this weekend, I had a ton of issues with my port not keeping the water sheen. For those who don't know what I am talking about, before I get in the water, I have to either lick or spit on the port of my housing. Then once you get in the water, it creates a clear sheen of water over the port so you have no distortion on your images.
My problem was that port was not holding the sheen. I had to get out of the water 3 times to try and clean, but it was not helping. A nice man on the beach told me that I should go and get some dish soap and clean the port. I ran up to a store in my wetsuit and cleaned the port and it worked... Thankfully, because the problem was driving me INSANE!! Here are a few images that I got this weekend...
