As you know, I had to spend almost 2 weeks out of the water with my head injury.

My first trip back to the water…I decided to up to Newport for my early morning wave hunting.  I am always hunting for that awesome sun rise that you can at the Wedge.  While I didn’t get what I was hoping for from the sky, the waves were still really good.  Here are some of the shots from that session… So glad to be back in the water!

The overcast was so heavy on this morning...I shot flash nearly the entire morning...

A 3-4 ft day at the Wedge is unlike any other 3-4 ft day ANYWHERE else in SoCal..
