I have not had a blog post in the recent days for a few reasons….
The first of which is I took my new son to see his grandparents and other family members in AZ, which was a great time..
The Second reason is I have just been shooting like a mad man… With their being so many good waves to shoot as of late, I have been trying to get out whenever possible. With that said, I have a lot of new shots coming…each day this week will be a new blog post. Since there are so many that I like, I don’t want to overwhelm you all with a lot all at once…
Here is a sample of some of my shots from late last week…
The colors you get at sunrise are unmatched!
The sunsets at the end of the year were simply EPIC!

Surfer Tristan Sullaway about to make a huge hack

Surfer Fano Rakigjija in the middle of some really good lighting...
More of these types of shots can currently be seen in at http://surfingeye.com/recents.
I hope you go and check them out. I was really happy with how a lot of these turned out...Much Much more to come in the coming days...
And again...Have a happy and safe New Year!
I finally got one of those mornings that I have been waiting for on Monday...
One of those mornings that is worth getting up at 5:45 am for. One of those mornings that I have been hoping for ALL WINTER LONG (or since I got my gear replaced). Normally I will go on about the things that I do leading up to shooting ... but ... I am going to just sit back and let you enjoy the shots..
You can see more from Monday morning at: http://surfingeye.com/recents
The response to the two promotions that I was running was so great that I am now sold out the promotional items that I was running...
I want to thank everyone who purchased one of these promotions.
I still have calendars (both wall and desk) in stock and ready to ship.
There will be a new promotion coming next week...so be on the look out..
Thanks for all the continued support
In my short time shooting from the water, one thing I have learned is that sun rise lighting is some of the best lighting that you can get… Not only that, but sun rise lighting in the winter is exceptionally good. You see…you “normally” don’t have to worry about that pesky marine layer that blankets SoCal in the summer, and people are not at the beach because it is only in the high 40’s at sun rise…
So, since I got my gear replaced, I have been waking up consistently on any morning that I can to go and catch the sun rise from the water. And these are even mornings that my 2 month old son doesn’t wake me up… Most mornings in these mornings I walk out the door only to be met with the thickest fog that could cover San Diego… When I see that, I simply go right back to my bed, frustrated…
However, this weekend and yesterday I just said F*** it! I had a new lens I needed to test (Canon 8-15 f/4 L Fisheye) so I had to get in the water.. Below are a couple of shots with the new lens, on yet another gray morning…
I will say that I am very happy with the detail I am getting from this lens...
To see more of the new shots from this gray morning.... Go to http://surfingeye.com/recents. I have also turned a few of them black and white.... To view those, which I think look really good go to my Blank and White gallery.
Hope you enjoy~

Well hello there. Long time no see… As some of you may or may not know, I have had a pretty eventful couple of weeks.
On 10.03.12 my wonderful wife gave birth to our first child, a son, Aiden Scott. He was born healthy and has been (to this point) a very good new born. Really only crying for the big 3 reasons. Sleep, Eat, Poop. Below are some pictures that I have taken so far with my iPhone 4.
Why am I only taking pictures with my iPhone thus far. Also as some may or may not know, on that same night that my son was born, someone broke into my home and stole ALL my camera equipment. The only items that were left were my flash stands, flash umbrellas and a soft box. Since then, I have been dealing with my insurance company which is slowly coming to an end. I hope to be back out in the water in Nov. Until then, I will post some older shots to my FB page.
I do also want to thank all the well wishes from everyone on the birth of Aiden, and I am sure you will see many more pics of him soon.

Trying to make the same face as my boy!

Such a happy baby!

My little Monster..
I am hanging up my waterhousing....
I am not giving up photography or anything like that =). But, for some of you that are frequent visitors to my blog, Facebook Page or Instagram Feed, may know that my wife is now as of Monday (09.17.2012) 39 weeks pregnant with our first son, Aiden Scott. I promised her a couple of thing where my photography is concerned. When she reached 34 weeks, I stopped leaving San Diego County. When she reached 37 weeks, I stopped paddling out into the line up...and now, that she is so close... photography has to take a back seat. So this past weekend I did one last cram session....Waves were not great...but I made the most of what I had...
So, here are what could be some of the last surf / beach pics I take for a while....You can see the rest of what I got last weekend at http://surfingeye.com/recents.
The next time I pick up my camera, it will be to take my first picture of my new son...
Hope you enjoy... And see you again soon...
